| Callisto can provide cast parts
using aluminum, brass, zinc, magnesium and iron.
The processes include die casting and sand casting.
Die casting is a process where molten metal is forced
into a metallic die and held into position until
the metal solidifies. This process produces accurate
parts that are sharply defined and have a good surface
finish. Sand casting is the shaping of molten metal
by pouring it into a mold. A low cost mold is formed
by mixing sand and a binding material and pressing
the mixture around the mold. Molten metal is then
poured into the mold and allowed to solidify. Callisto
can provide castings ranging from small components
to large assemblies. We are capable of furnishing
castings to any degree of completion, either bare
cast or fully painted and decorated. For instance,
we are currently producing a large variety of cast
parts including burners, cooking grids, end caps,
handles, logo plates and large die cast parts for
barbecue grills. |
